Biography:

Mike Steele is a Program Officer in the Division of Research on Learning.  At his home institution, he is a Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  His research focuses on supporting secondary math teachers in developing mathematical knowledge for teaching, integrating content and pedagogy, through teacher preparation and professional development. He currently serves as the President-Elect of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators.
